Crown Mountain Farms

Crown Mountain Farms Fibers

Many years ago, fiber meant only wool shorn, cleaned, carded and dyed from animals such as sheep, goats and rabbits. Today fiber can mean SoySilk®, which is made from the by-product of tofu to ingeo which is made from corn, or indeed the wool from a yak, sheep, rabbit, goat, alpaca, llama and many others. We feature fiber from around the world. Most of our fiber is hand-dyed, by individual artists. Wherever possible, we have featured the artist’s photograph by their fiber. Producing fiber for spinners has moved from simply a cottage industry to large-scale commercial production and everything in between. Fiber production can be done at home with as little as hand-carders or a drum-carder or can be purchased ready-to-spin from us. All stages of fiber are available. Please enjoy browsing our fiber pages. We have selected only the finest fiber for your spinning needs and are proud to offer such unique products from around the world.
