Plant Fibers - SoySilk® and Blends

As far back as 1940, Henry Ford had a vision for the lowly soy bean. He created a fabric from this bean, and had an entire suit made of it. SoySilk™ is an environmentally friendly fiber made from the tofu manufacturing waste. The protein is liquefied and then extruded into long, continuous fibers which spin like natural silk. This fiber has a soft drape which improves with age and wearing.
