Cargill Dow began on a new mission, to create a sustainable
fiber for the future. Ingeo™ is a luscious fiber created from
corn. The plant starches are broken down into natural plant sugars.
The carbon and other elements in these natural sugars are then used
to make polymer. This polymer is distilled into a resin, which is
then converted in fiber named Ingeo. Ingeo does not use any petroleum
sources to make the polymer, it derives its carbon from the annually
renewable source - CORN
