We had the good fortune to meet Ed Jenkins and his wife, Wanda, at a recent weaver's fair, when our booths were placed side-by-side. We were touched by their soft spoken nature and genuine kindness.
I was spinning on my Turkish drop spindle and Ed became fascinated with the remarkable design of this ancient spinning tool. Working with wood since age four, Ed took an immediate interest in spinning tools. He has now created a perfect Turkish drop spindle! I absolutely love spinning on these wonderful spindles!
Since 1984, Ed has made a living with his passion for woodworking, turning beautiful artistic bowls, harvesting trees from local orchards, and also making weaving shuttles, large circular knitting needles, and elegant music stands. The Turkish drop spindle was a natural for him! Ed loves variety and taking on a new challenge. He stands behind his products 100%.
