Crown Mountain Farms Animal Fibers - Blue Face Leicester

The Blue Face Leicester is one of the three Leicester breeds. The breed was developed in the early 1900s in northern England. Another hornless longwool breed with a fairly fine, dense and semi lustrous white fleece. The name refers to the dark blue headskin which shows through the white hair. We also find the "Black Sheep" in the Blue Face Leicester Breed which has a brown instead of a white fleece, therefor its new name is Black Blue Face Leicester.
